Water-based polymers for dust suppression
KIMYA DS is a product line designed to minimise airborne dust in stockyards and across critical bulk material handling zones . It consists of water-based polymers with low environmental impact, offering the following advantages
High concentration and low viscosity
Highly concentrated yet not excessively viscous, allowing application with any type of equipment or delivery system.
Durable, long-lasting film
They form a durable, long-lasting film, even under particularly demanding environmental conditions.
Elasticity and crack prevention
Performance parameters and main features
Particle adhesion, film elasticity and environmental stability.
KIMYA DS’s water-based formulation leverages a highly elastic polymer network capable of binding fine particles and forming a continuous, flexible and resistant film. This crosslinked barrier maintains its integrity even in the presence of wind, temperature fluctuations or material settling, preventing microcracks and dust release.
Thanks to its three-dimensional structure, the film follows the micro-movements of the stockpile without losing cohesion, ensuring effective control of particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) and improving air quality in operational areas. The biodegradable polymers used, free from volatile organic compounds (VOC), reduce the impact on soil, air and water, contributing to the achievement of environmental targets at industrial sites.
The stability of the protective film allows for less frequent applications and limits residue build-up on equipment, with a direct impact on operational continuity and reduced maintenance costs. In addition, the reduction of airborne particulate contributes to a healthier working environment, in line with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies adopted by modern process industries.
Overall, KIMYA DS represents a high-performance solution that combines operational efficiency, operator safety and environmental sustainability, providing long-lasting surface protection and optimal dust emission control.
